Tips

Check often as we will feature a new tip each week: Many tournaments are turning to a 50/50 split with their hole in one contest i.e. if you offer a $25,000 cash prize, your organization could take half... essentially a nice donation on behalf of the winner. Just make sure up front that it is clear to all participants.

Hole in One Overview:

Nothing adds to the excitement of a golf tournament like a high value hole in one prize. Cars, boats, and trips always generate the "wow" factor as prizes for an ace. It is important to prominently display your hole in one prize otherwise it is like serving the steak without the sizzle. If impossible to display the prize itself, it should at least be displayed on a large full color sign.

Hole in one's do occur! Each year on average, we grant a prize to at least one lucky winner. Over the years we have paid out everything from a Titleist golf equipment package to a brand new BMW X5. Most recently Mr. Pierre Paquette aced hole #2 on Course 1 at Lachute Golf Club while participating in the Air Canada Dreams Take Flight golf tournament, and won himself a golf trip for two to the legendary TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

In addition to Hole in One coverage, we also have four unique all inclusive Hole in One packages that feature multiple levels of prizing. Full descriptions of each of these packages are available by clicking below.

New for 2012, SMG is offering a "Build your Own" package which provides you with the option of managing your budget while keeping things simple. This allows you to add and remove any items listed in the Hole in One packages. So, if there is ANYTHING you would like to customize, go ahead and build your own package with the help of your SMG representative.
